City lights, in the night, look like stars on the ground while I’m in flight,
Flying high, passing by, all these clouds that are shimmering from the moonlight sky.
Now I see, you and me, was clearly something that was never meant to be
It’s alright, cause tonight, the thoughts that haunt me disappear with the sunlight.
I’ve just been so numb,
Can you feel me?
If I brought you a shattered heart,
Could you heal me?
My head just shook, didn’t look, three words I love you was all that it took,
I had fears, she tears, I sat there silently as it echoed in my ears.
I still cared, but when I shared, feelings that she once had were no longer there.
Split in three, I can see, how nice of her to return the pieces of my heart for free.

Where all the nice boys always get their girls
Where people learn and people change,
And good things tend to stay the same,
Across a state or on another coast,

You can have anything you lack,
Until sunrise brings you back.
Feel the pain, start to rain, I waited there all day but you never came,
Decisions made, won’t be swayed, my phone stopped buzzing back so you can fade.
